The Lovely Study Cafes of South Korea

One of my favorite aspects about living in Korea while being a full-time college student, is the fact that there are so many cafes in walking distance! It is very common here for cafes to be bigger than they would be in the states, and these cafes usually only serve drinks and pastries/desserts. (Some serve a limited number of sandwiches or breakfast dishes.) I do sadly have to have to terms with not being able to visit every single cool café here in South Korea. They are everywhere and each one is unique with their drinks and pastries and food options. I do not believe that there is truly any café in the states that compare to cafes here.
Another factor about living in Korea that goes along with this is the fact that most of the time, I walk to these cafes. Many of them are in the same neighborhood as we are or are close enough to walk to in order thirty minutes. I absolutely love the walking culture here in South Korea because you do not stand out when you decide to walk a mile or two to a certain café or store. Although there are several bus stops along each city block and taxis on every corner, plenty of people walk everywhere local!
It is honestly a good time to be a full time college student, when living in South Korea. I try to spend one morning a week at a cafe (I try to change it up) to get my textbook readings in for the week. It helps give a change of scenery from being in my office everyday of the week while completing school work. And cafes are also great for meeting up with different ladies that I have been blessed creating friendships with. Most cafes are bid enough, some bigger than regular sized restaurants in the states, so gathering with people is very encouraged and easy to do.
Caption of Picture: My drink here in South Korea, that I had not ordered til now but will definitely continue in the states, is an iced caramel macchiato. This was taken on the second story of a cafe called Archive Cafe that is built along the river south of us.
